College Degree Optional: Career Options

The media and others constantly bombard us with statements about how college is the only way for any of us to succeed in life. Each and every child is urged to attend college.  In many ways, the implication is that anyone who doesn’t go to college is making a foolish decision and doomed to a life of mediocrity

We here at Ditch College simply do not believe that.  We will momentarily get off the soap box since there are plenty of other pages on this website for us to make our case.

With that said, on this page you will find a regularly updated list of career options that do not require a four-year degree. You may be surprised by the number of options available and be amazed at the diversity of offerings.  The attractiveness of each career choice will vary, as will the expected income one can anticipate earning.

Please note that just because an individual can enter one of these professions without a bachelors degree, do not be fooled or mislead into believing that you can simply apply for a job in this field and start making a solid living.  Should you decide to “Ditch College” you will still need to submit yourself to rigorous training and study for any field if you desire to be successful.

This site isn’t for those looking to make short cuts or a quick buck.  This site is designed for those who are looking to channel their energies as efficiently as possible into a career path that interests them so that they can begin earning decent money quickly while avoiding saddling themselves with tens of thousands of dollars in student loans.  And for further clarification, do not expect the acquisition of the skills and training you need to pursue these options to be free.

In many instances, the costs associated will be far less than had you pursued a traditional college education and you will possess truly marketable skills.  But there are still costs.

Here are some careers that may interest you.  If you do not see a career listed that interests you, please contact us and submit a request.
