Idaho Paralegal Requirements & Resources

Becoming a Paralegal in Idaho

The State of Idaho does not place any education requirements nor do they require certification for those seeking to become a paralegal.  Prospective paralegals may become a paralegal through on-the-job training opportunities or by pursuing a certificate program, an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree.

Professional Paralegal Associations

Idaho Association of Paralegals (IAP)
Established in 1980, the Idaho Association of Paralegals, Inc., is an organization formed to promote the paralegal profession by encouraging a high order of ethics, facilitating network opportunities, and sponsoring continuing legal education. IAP is a statewide membership and addresses statewide issues through membership in the Idaho Alliance of Paralegal Associations.
